The Database Manager will provide support that ensures organizational efficiency in the following areas: work closely with the Marketing Manager and the Admissions manager. As a team, they will drive enrollment and retention and provide an outstanding experience for parents. Provide the corporation a high level of Customer Relationship Management tools to leadership and staff.

Professional Responsibilities

It is expected that the Database Manager will...

  • Organize and maintain accurate databases.
  • Serve as Platform manager for Blackbaud products and lead on additional databases.
  • Maintain integrity of Student Information Systems and associated databases.
  • Institute a high level of customer service across all departments and student families.
  • Ensure data information flows seamlessly from both campus admissions through the business office to all stakeholders.
  • Support a comprehensive annual giving program: including strategies to incorporate alumni groups, e-campaigns, giving societies, new donors, and increasing average gift amounts.
  • Utilize the data to serve as an active prospect identifier, targeting prospects for personal visits and moving annual donors through the donor pyramid into the next giving level. Share this information with the philanthropy team to help make creative connections between and among people, events, programs, and their associated circles.
  • Utilize data to provide analytical, predictive and scoring capabilities and reporting.
  • Partner with Admissions, Finance, Development and Academics to efficiently compile data for analysis and reporting across systems.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data, including input and output, technology management, and end-user training and support.
  • Provides support to staff with creation of reports and mailing lists, developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and plan for future data conversions/upgrades as needed.
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for data cleansing, data entry, gift processing, prospect research, and relationship management.
  • Oversee, progress, deadlines, goals and objectives related to department and responsibilities within budget guidelines.
  • Oversight and coordination of resource calendar, course selection, academic schedule, online contracts, forms, security, data analytics and backend enrollment support.
  • Provides excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers.
  • Inventory management
  • Manage software licenses, renewals and terminations
  • Support custodial and facilities team with scheduling of projects
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships
  • Assist with coordination of team-building and staff appreciation events
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is desired that the Database Manager ...

  • Has a bachelor's degree plus 3+ years' experience.
  • Has experience with Blackbaud and SQL databases, preferred.
Administrative Leadership

It is expected that the Database Manager will...

  • Help staff, students, and volunteers function efficiently, effectively, and productively.
  • Have the ability to accomplish the goals and objectives assigned by the Head of School and school policy.
  • Communicate clearly with administration in an earnest effort to resolve differences when they exist.
  • Serve as resource and support for parent organizations.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

  • Have a conviction that God has called her or him to Christian school ministry.
  • Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity.

  • The employee must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time and have dexterity of hands and fingers for operating office equipment.
  • On occasion, the employee must be able to work longer hours than a typical day for events such as parent information meetings, special programs, committee meetings, or other meetings or functions in the early morning or the evening.
