Job Title: Database Reporting Services Consultant
Location: Long Island City, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Years of Experience: 10+ Yrs.
Mandatory Skills and Requirement:
- Experience writing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for ETL.
- Experience in data modeling, database design and well versed with DBMS best practices.
- Experience optimizing and tuning queries.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
- Experience with Informatica is a plus.
- Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
- Strong issue resolution and investigation skills.
- Ability to articulate and document the steps taken to resolve an issue.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Informatica
- Microsoft DevOps
- Conceptual knowledge of CRM Systems (Salesforce, MS Dynamics etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify/resolve/prioritize mission critical production issues. Provide technical documentation as needed.
- Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, and quality details.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as design documents,specifications,software/stored proc/DB Jobs documents and instructions.
- Develop scripts and solutions to automate data aging process to move data that meets the aging criteria out of production.
- Perform data cleanup by performing data merges, deactivation/deletion of duplicate records using logic for exact matches as well as high probability fuzzy matches.
- Be creative in providing new ideas and potential technical solutions including reviewing new features asthey are planned for release.
- Have thorough understanding and experience of development, deployment, and maintenance of SSIS packages.
- Have thorough understanding and experience of development, deployment, and maintenance of reports in SSRS.
- Design advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and scripts.
- Create SQL Server databases and database components utilized end client applications.
- Collaborate with applications developers and other key team members (Business Leads,
- Vendors, and Stakeholders) on data modeling and E-R diagrams.
- Manage database performance, capacity, replication, backup, and security.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data backup strategy and data retention policies.
- Perform database migrations from unsupported OS/database servers to supported versions including cloud-based solutions.
- Assist business analysts and end-users with reporting needs.
- Develop reports, views, charts, and dashboards to assist program staff with monitoring the outcomes of Agency initiatives.
- Work with external entitiesto facilitate secure data transfers.
- Have exceptional communication skills, including effectively communicating with and possibly interpreting between technical and non-technical team members.
- Qualified vendor must have experience with all the activities listed above.
