DataStage Technical Lead | About You

As a DataStage Technical Lead, you are responsible for managing day-to-day technical operations for a distributed data integration team supporting development, QA, and production efforts. You bring hands-on expertise in DataStage and a deep understanding of enterprise data warehouse systems. You excel at translating business requirements into technical tasks and ensuring that timelines and quality standards are met. You’re the bridge between the offshore technical team and onshore stakeholders, facilitating communication and removing roadblocks. Your strong organizational skills and proactive mindset keep the team on track and aligned with project goals.

DataStage Technical Lead | Day-to-Day

• Act as the primary point of contact between the onshore client team and offshore delivery team.
• Oversee technical implementation of ETL solutions using DataStage and ensure adherence to architecture guidelines.
• Support ongoing production and QA activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal business disruption.
• Monitor development progress, review code quality, and enforce best practices across environments.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and manage workloads.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to offshore team members as needed.

DataStage Technical Lead | Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience working on data integration and data warehousing projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage and enterprise ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and development of life cycles.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Oracle, Postgres, or Progress.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP a plus) and version control practices.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with a track record of cross-team collaboration.
