Day Habilitation Specialist

Description

• Up to $18/hour 
• Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm 
• Full-time, benefits eligible role 

• Provide direct care and assist assigned individuals with accessing the community and increasing independence with communication, socialization and daily living skills
• Implement individual’s care plans and provide ongoing feedback regarding additional or changing care plan needs to child’s supervisor or Day Hab Supervisor
• Required to become certified for medication administration, seizures, and g-tube feedings as well as other specialized trainings as identified
• Assure timely and accurate documentation

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass criminal and child abuse background checks
• Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance 
• Must be willing to obtain your chauffeur’s license in order to drive ChildServe vehicles.
• Good oral and written communication skills and have the ability to accurately document all observations, significant events, and services provided.
• Education: High school diploma preferred
• Experience: Experience working with or knowledge of children with special health care needs preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
