We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.
Aspire Living & Learning is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Day Options Coordinator in Bel Air Harford County. The Day Options Coordinator at Aspire Living & Learning plays a vital role in the coordination of all aspects of daily
functions for the Day Options Program. The Day Options Coordinator works with the Day Options Manager to ensure the program is meeting all expectations. The Day Options Coordinator will strive to ensure that all
individuals are supported, both in the building and in the community.
Rate of Pay: $24.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Manager with addressing all logistical concerns regarding supports, staffing, and attendance.
• Complete daily census as assigned.
• Opens Day Options, ensures that doors are unlocked, lights and electronics are turned on, and that
supplies for the day are prepared.
• Oversees daily activities for all individuals.
• Assists with organizing and scheduling activities or outings.
• Communicates plans to all team members on a daily basis.
• Offers feedback on progress of individuals Social and Adult Daily Living Skills, noting areas of
improvement.
• Collects data and offers feedback on progress of individual’s vocational skills, notes areas of
improvement.
• Assists Manager with maintaining positive relationships with families and residential supervisors.
• Assists Manager with expanding and maintaining relationships with members of the community with
whom we volunteer.
• Participates in annual planning meetings as needed.
• Peer Support Professionals will report to the Day Options Coordinator before and during Community
Outings as needed.
• Attend and participate in ISP meetings as assigned.
• Provide transportation and assistance for individuals with Community Outings/Community Integration
(supervision of participants while in the community).
• Record behavior data, goal progress and incidents in Therap.
• Routinely engage all Day Options participants in meaningful activities of their choice.
• Assist individuals with improving upon their vocational and employment skills.
• Learn and remain aware of all individuals' needs.
• Provide redirection and emotional support as needed.
• Deescalate any potential crisis offering Pro-Active support.
• Report general observations and changes in behaviors.
• Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
• Participate in and complete training sessions as delegated by management to enhance skills and
knowledge relevant to the role.
• Conduct training as required and assigned.
• Perform any additional job responsibilities assigned by supervisors or team leaders to support the
organization's smooth operation.
• Ensure all paperwork complies with program and/or billing guidelines
• Accept reassignment as required.
