Community Connect: A Community-based Behavior Day Program
Community Connect began in 1987 and has maintained high standards for our day program for adults with developmental and behavioral challenges that may keep them from experiencing their communities the way they want and deserve.
Our program is focused on a person-centered approach. This enhanced understanding of each individual encourages greater success in reducing maladaptive behaviors while increasing access to their communities. We encourage choices which vary from selecting various location visits, to activities – including the level of participation in various employment programs. As we learn their strengths and preferences, our staff can provide appropriate and tailored activities; both academic and fun! They also become more successful in addressing each behavior while serving as positive role models for meaningful peer and community relationships. Each shared experience and celebrated accomplishment results in feelings of confidence, independence, and value.
