The Day Services Lead is responsible for establishing and promoting an energetic, creative, and positive work environment while providing oversight of Day Services (CISS, CP, ILST, and FB, where appropriate). The Day Services Lead will be a mentor and primary contact during work hours to all regional Day Services staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring all persons supported participate in community participation services, and other Day Services, as outlined in the PCSP.
Responsible for promoting and coordinating community partnership opportunities, e.g., volunteer sites, hobby classes, etc., to assist people supported with building social capital.
Provide guidance and instruction to employees on proper representation of Easter Seals TN in the community.
Ensure Day Services schedules are planned to maximize revenue opportunities, as well as provide person centered opportunities.
Act as a mentor to all Day Services staff to continuously improve the overall quality of services.
Complete Monthly supervisory visits for CP, CISS and FB services (where applicable) and document in Infoserve.
Provide Day Services Direct Supports, as necessary.
Serve as a representative of Easter Seals TN in meetings, trainings, etc. with external agencies and individuals, to include ISP and Circle of Support meetings.
Schedule Weekly/Daily Transportation routes.
Complete and distribute to Day Services DSP’s weekly/daily schedules for all Day Services.
Ensure Day Services schedules are implemented as scheduled and in a quality manner.
Responsible for checking the daily documentation in Infoserv completed by Day Services staff on a daily basis.
Communicate effectively with the Management of other departments to ensure smooth provision of services.
Provide formal on the job training to Day Services staff. Complete cross training of new employees and required training documentation Individual Specific Training, Fire Drill Training and job shadows.
Address and resolve urgent issues that are related to the persons supported and staff in Day Services.
Effectively and regularly communicate to Day Services staff all Manager of Day and Employment Services directives and information regarding persons supported.
Identify staff that may require remedial training and/or additional support and communicate to Manager of Day and Supported Employment.
Administer medications in accordance with ESTN’s medication administration policy and procedures.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of the individual and is required to comply
with all agency standards, policies and procedures, assuring quality services are provided.
Be a productive team member; promote a positive work environment regarding supported persons, co-workers, family members, customers, employers and community stakeholders with courtesy and respect.
Adhere to all federal, state and local laws and ESTN policies regarding the safe operation of motor vehicle.
Comply with all Easter Seals Policies and Procedures,
Ensure Person Centered practices and People First language are clearly communicated to all staff and implemented.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education/Experience
Associate degree preferred or the equivalent experience in a social service or administrative role.
Experience in an administrative/coordination role with varied responsibilities having minimal oversight.
Two to Three years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of DIDD, Facility and Community-Based Service programs, policies, and procedures.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid Tennessee Driver’s License, with an F endorsement, and a clear driving history.
Must maintain liability and auto insurance.
Must maintain CPR and/or First Aid Certification and meet all DIDD and agency training requirements.
