Day Shift Plant Maintenance Mechanic

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on sand and gravel plant equipment

• Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure safe, reliable operation

• Install, adjust, and replace components such as belts, bearings, motors, and pumps

• Collaborate with plant leadership to prioritize maintenance needs and minimize downtime

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

• Capability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment

• Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing operational needs

Physical Demands of the Job

• Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

• Capability to work in physically demanding conditions that may include uneven terrain, confined spaces, and repetitive motions

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
