Oracle Database Administrator Responsibilities:
Provisioning and maintaining AWS RDS Databases using Automation such as Terraform, Cloudformation, Ansible
Migration of Databases from On-Prem to Cloud, Cloud to Cloud (e.g. AWS to Google Cloud Platform) using replication and other automation tools in the cloud
Planning backup and recovery strategies
Monitoring strategy for the database health and proactive measures to maintain performance and integrity
Troubleshooting database, data integrity, and application issues related to the DB
Database Performance tuning
Oracle Database Administrator Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science or Information Technology area
Proven work experience as a Database administrator preferably in AWS RDS environment
Experience with SQL, Stored Procedures and Triggers
Experience with Linux and bash scripting, version control systems such as GIT
Basic Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python)
Knowledge of DevOps tools, Google Cloud and PostgreSQL is a plus
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
