Work Timings- 8.30-5pm and some weekends. Only DC DMV considered. Will require site -visits

REPORTS TO (TITLE): Team Lead – Education and Outreach

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties and Responsibilities
o Provides day-to-day customer services for programs in local offices and community centers.
o Responds to calls from customers, their representatives, providers, and other entities.
o Provides general information about programs, answers general questions, and documents complaints.
o Supports front line staff in local offices with customer service activities.
o Inputs client enrollment information.
o Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable program information, policies and procedures.
o Remains courteous, helpful, and sensitive to customer needs at all times.
o Performs eligibility screening interviews as applicable to individual program and office responsibilities.
o Identifies and handles priority requests as appropriate.
o Reviews any previously documented contact with customers.
o Responds to all inquiries consistent with confidentiality and privacy policies and refers customers to alternate sources when appropriate.
o Raises issues of concern and appropriately escalates issues to the Senior Manager – Education and Outreach.
o Attends community outreach events and health fairs.
o Conducts client enrollments.
o Regular and dependence attendance.
o Other duties as assigned

o Effective communication skills.
o Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a variety of people, both in-person and over the telephone.
o Ability to handle pressure and perform multiple tasks.
o Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
-High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
-Previous experience providing customer service, preferably in a health and human services setting.
-Experience with low-income populations
