Key Skills/Attributes:
- Expertise in vRA (VMware vRealize Automation)
- Proficiency in Packer for automated machine image creation
- Strong understanding of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines, including experience with Git actions and Harness
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Familiarity with vCenter for virtualization management
- Experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute data center migration projects
- Utilize vRA to automate the deployment and management of virtualized infrastructure
- Create and maintain machine images using Packer to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git actions and Harness for seamless software delivery
- Work closely with software development teams to integrate SDLC best practices into CI/CD processes
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and Terraform
- Manage and optimize virtualized environments using vCenter
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on data center migration and infrastructure automation
- Strong proficiency in vRA, Packer, CI/CD tools, Ansible, Terraform, and virtualization technologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus
