Job Description - Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Educator

Now Hiring: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher – Georgia Schools | Fall 2025 Start

Location: Georgia | Schedule: Full-Time | Setting: School-Based, Itinerant

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher for Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support a forward-thinking Georgia school district for the 2025–2026 academic year. In this full-time, itinerant position, you’ll provide direct services across multiple school sites, helping students with hearing impairments thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a DHH teacher, you’ll tailor instruction to each student’s unique needs—using a combination of American Sign Language (ASL), assistive technologies, and inclusive teaching strategies. You’ll also play a critical role in collaborating with general education teachers, families, and IEP teams to promote accessibility, independence, and student growth.

Position Summary:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments.

Deliver services in a variety of school settings as part of an itinerant caseload.

Collaborate with IEP teams, families, and school staff to ensure individualized supports.

Track student progress and contribute to ongoing IEP documentation and planning.

Utilize ASL, visual supports, and assistive technology to meet diverse communication needs.

Develop and adapt lesson plans and classroom accommodations aligned with student goals.

Requirements

ASL fluency highly preferred.

Valid Georgia Professional Educator License (PEL) with DHH endorsement.

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.

Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is strongly desired.
