Job Description - Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist Needed Georgia Schools




We are excited to invite applications for a dedicated and proficient Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher for the upcoming school year. This role, serving as a Hearing Itinerant, will span multiple schools within our district, ensuring students who are deaf or hard of hearing receive the essential support and specialized instruction they need.







Our Organization is currently seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to support grade-school students. Our ideal candidate is passionate about empowering deaf and hard of hearing students to reach their full academic potential. This role involves collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to provide essential support and tailored instruction. Successful candidates will have experience with American Sign Language (ASL), assistive technology, and the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing student success and well-being







Position Highlights:



  • 2025-2026 School Year.

  • Full-time positions available.

  • Immediate interview scheduling available.

  • Occasional travel required; mileage will be reimbursed.


Requirements



  • Georgia PEL endorsement for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Deaf Education or a related degree.

  • Pass a background check and drug screening before the start of the assignment.
