Job Description - Dedicated Account Manager

The Account Manager – Tyson Power Only core responsibilities involve coordinating the booking, planning, and scheduling of freight. These duties will span across Customer Service, Driver Management, and Planning functions.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plans freight and equipment allocation within designated Tyson regions to optimize utilization and profitability, adhering to DOT Hours of Service regulations.
  • Ensures timely delivery of services to Tyson in accordance with contract agreements.
  • Promptly communicates service issues to Tyson and escalates them to the operations team or relevant parties within the organization.
  • Maintains communication with drivers, promptly responding to calls, emails and messages to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Coordinates power-only shipments
  • Oversees the handling of freight from shippers to receivers.
  • Cultivates and sustains Tyson relationship within assigned territories
  • Collaborates with Driver Leader’s to coordinate operator’s schedules, ensuring continuous freight availability.
  • Fosters positive relationships with Hirschbach operators, operations team members and customers.
  • Identifies and communicates any potential service issues related to PTA and routing
  • Develops action plans to enhance lane profitability and service levels, updating them as needed.
  • Reviews and finalizes account billing sheets
  • Generates KPI reports and performs other reporting functions as required by Tyson.
  • Attends Tyson-related meetings and occasionally travels to visit Tyson sites and terminals.
  • Performs other assigned duties, including proactive support for organizational objectives.
Talent Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, paired with relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to process information with the high levels of accuracy and energy.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to travel on occasion as needed.
  • Demonstrates an “All in to Win” attitude and displays self-motivation and strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment.
