Deep Learning Optimization and Infrastructure Engineer - SIML, ISE

The System Intelligence and Machine Learning (SIML) team at Apple is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in deep learning. This role focuses on enhancing the ecosystem of tools used in the machine learning pipeline, particularly in the areas of large -scale model training and compression for on -device deployment. The position requires at least 5 years of industry experience in machine learning, expertise in PyTorch, knowledge of scalable distributed systems, and proficiency in Python and C/C++. The engineer will contribute to the development of machine learning technologies that impact millions of users and will work on tasks ranging from software development to system administration. An M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, and familiarity with computer vision and GPU programming is a valuable plus. The base pay for this role ranges from $170,700 to $300,200, with additional benefits including medical coverage, retirement benefits, and stock programs.
