Deep Reach Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Properly inspects forklift being operated to ensure it is in optimum operating condition.


• Safely operating a High Reach Forklift under OSHA and Case Farms guidelines.


• Extending forks as high as 402”-33.5` in the air to place pallets of product.


• Removes pallets from production floor and carefully places in the correct bay in freezer for future shipment.


• Notifies supervisor, lead, maintenance of any issues with the forklift or malfunction


• Checks and ensures the forklift is in optimum condition at the end of shift


• Follows safety policies and procedures based on required training and ensures fellow coworkers maintain a safe working environment to prevent accidents


• May be required to Lift totes and heavy products


• May be required to Scan pallets and products


• Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts/conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.


• Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and safe work area.


• Additional warehouse or forklift related tasks not listed may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 18 years of age.


• Legally authorized to work in the United States.


• Ability to read and write legibly.


• Basic math functions and skills.


• Prior forklift experience required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50lbs


• Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced plant environment.


• Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, squat, climb, balance, stretch, walk, reach, twist, bend, grasp, use hands and fingers, handle objects or controls, talk, and hear.


• Agility to negotiate around moving machinery and people.


• May be exposed to temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.


• May handle product -10 degrees to 35 degrees Fahrenheit.


• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB
