To strengthen our motivated Bindery Team at our plant in Indianapolis, IN we are looking for a highly competent Bindery Set-Up Technician.

Your Role

• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot multiple pieces of equipment
• Set up folding equipment (Vijuk, Stahl, Pratham, Mueller, MBO etc..) per client/job order specifications
• Perform beginning and ending line clearances.
• Demonstrate acceptable attendance and good mechanical aptitude.
• Good verbal communication skills
• General computer skills
• Organized and disciplined in following of established processes and procedures
• Utilize good time management skills and be flexible to move from task to task.

Your Profile

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE:  This role requires an individual who has obtained a high school diploma in a vocational and/or work-study program.   

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  This role requires acceptable verbal, organizational, and people skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest in manufacturing and mechanical systems as a future career path.

COMPUTER SKILLS:  This role requires basic computer skills.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  The successful candidate must demonstrate an interest in manufacturing and mechanical systems as a future career path.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

• Lifting up to 35 pounds is required.  Loads heavier than 35 pounds will be lifted with mechanical device or 2-person lift.
• Reaching, bending, and lying on floor to diagnose problems are occasional responsibilities of the job.
• Problem-solving is a routine element of the job.  The successful individual must be able to maintain patience and composure when faced with repetitive or persistent problems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a manufacturing environment and the employee will be near mechanical parts and equipment.
• The candidate must be 18 years of age.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Hearing protection is provided and required in the production areas.
• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes safety shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection all of which will be provided.
