Job Title: Deli Clerk

JOB SUMMARY

To prepare product, maintain display cases and service customers to ensure customer requirements are met.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

(E=Essential   A=Additional)

E   Provide products and services

that are competitively priced, always meet the requirements of internal and external customers and abide by the Company’s Mission Statement.

E   Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety) and sanitation regulations

are met.

E   Provide customer service by greeting customers, filling their order, doing suggestive selling and thanking

the customer.

E   Setting up deli case by preparing case, preparing product, according to Company standards and

procedures, bringing product from preparation area and putting it in case.

E   Maintain product level in sales cases by identifying low product and filling where necessary.

A   Checking in of deliveries by comparing invoice to merchandise, then putting merchandise away in cooler.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must be at least 18 years of age.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Ability to read and follow instructions

Verbal and written communicative skills

Basic math skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift over 30 pounds, bend, twist, and stretch while bending to reach into cases.

Ability to work in a cold environment.
