• Between the Bell Shifts: Work while they learn! Perfect for parents, these shifts run from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
• After the Bell Shifts: Earn after the school day ends with shifts from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Job Summary:

As a Deli Clerk, you will be the smiling face of our deli counter, providing exceptional service to our customers in person and over the phone. You will play a key role in keeping our department beautifully merchandised, fresh, and spotlessly clean.

What You Will Do:

• Brighten Someone's Day: Greet customers promptly, answer questions with a smile, and help them find exactly what they need.
• Showcase Our Best Products: Package, wrap, price, and beautifully display our delicious deli items.
• Keep it Fresh: Become an expert on our deli case items; from premium lunchmeats and cheeses to savory dips and cold salads. You will track dates and rotate stock to guarantee the highest quality.
• Master the Kitchen Craft: Prepare fresh, crave-able grab-and-go items including custom sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, pasta salads, potato salads, coleslaw, and tuna salad.
• Maintain a Sparkling Clean Station: Follow top-tier food safety and sanitation standards by keeping surfaces clean, washing dishes, sweeping, and mopping.

Pay:

Starting pay will be based on industry experience, internal equity, and scope of responsibility.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to communicate clearly
• Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers
• Attention to detail, ensuring duties are completed correctly and on time

Education & Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Some previous deli or food service experience, highly preferred
• High school diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, and reaching
• Occasional instances of pushing, pulling, and squatting
• Must be able to frequently lift 10-30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
