The Role: Fresh Food, Fast Service, Friendly Faces
Are you an enthusiastic foodie who thrives in a fast-paced environment? As a Deli Clerk at Piggly Wiggly, you are the face of our freshest department. You'll be responsible for crafting perfect sandwiches, slicing premium meats and cheeses, and ensuring our hot cases are stocked with delicious meals. If you enjoy a collaborative team setting and take pride in prompt, friendly service, we want to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence: Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service to every guest at the deli counter.

Order Preparation: Accurately prepare custom orders, including slicing meats and cheeses to guest specifications and preparing hot food items.

Equipment Mastery: Safely and efficiently operate deli equipment, including:
- Meat & Cheese Slicers: For precision cuts and portioning.
- Digital Scales: For accurate pricing and labeling of products.

Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a spotless work area at all times, adhering to all store standards and food safety regulations.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with your teammates to meet department goals and handle busy rush periods with ease.

What We're Looking For:

Active Communicators: Someone who is adept at working with others and can engage customers with a positive attitude.

Technical Skill: Ability to handle cutting tools and kitchen machinery with delicacy and safety.

Detail-Oriented: A commitment to following store standards for food preparation and presentation.

Reliability: A hardworking individual who can manage multiple tasks in a busy grocery store setting.

Experience: Previous deli or food service experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right enthusiastic candidate!
