McKeever Price Chopper is seeking an experienced and energetic Deli Department Manager to lead our deli team and ensure the highest standards in food quality, service, and cleanliness. Position Overview:

As Deli Department Manager, you will oversee daily deli operations, including staff supervision, food preparation, inventory control, safety compliance, and customer service. You’ll lead by example, create a positive team culture, and help deliver a first-class deli experience for every shopper.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and motivate deli team members to provide excellent service and food quality
• Oversee preparation and presentation of fresh deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches
• Ensure food safety standards and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
• Manage department scheduling, staffing, and productivity
• Control inventory, ordering, and product rotation to minimize waste and maximize freshness
• Respond to and resolve customer concerns in a professional, timely manner
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked deli counters and prep areas
• Collaborate with store leadership on merchandising, sales goals, and promotions
• Assist with hiring and onboarding of new deli staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior deli or food service management experience required
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and deli operations
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Customer-first attitude with strong attention to detail
• Willing to obtain a food handler permit (McKeever’s will assist)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motion
• Comfortable working in hot, cold, and food-prep environments
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
