D3J Express Corp. A FedEx Ground Contractor is looking to hire FULL/PART-TIME Delivery Drivers! We are looking for highly motivated, fast-paced, accurate, and responsible people to manage a pick-up and delivery route. Applicants must be 21 years of age and able to pass a drug screen, DOT medical physical, and background check. We require you to work one weekend day.
Please note commercial driving experience isn't necessary but a plus., you will be paid for training and we have flexible schedules.
Responsibilities
- Arrive onsite at the Bessemer FedEx Terminal to secure vehicle and load packages. Also the driver would unload pickup packages and returns at the end of day.
- Deliver a wide variety of packages to different addresses throughout our service areas of Montevallo, Calera, Clanton, Jemison, Thorsby and Wilton Alabama.
- Follow routes and time schedules
- Prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle (some loading may be required)
- Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
- Be prompt and report to work daily
- Attempt delivery of all packages assigned to your route daily
- Complete logs and reports
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Provide great customer and friendly service

Requirements
- 1-year commercial driving experience preferred, but not necessary
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to continually pass a drug screen (Random screenings occur)
Must pass a DOT physical
Must have a Motor Vehicle Record free from serious violations, such as DUI's, reckless driving, etc.
Must have a clean Criminal Background
Must have a high school degree or equivalent
Must be a least 21 years of age
Must be able to lift 75lbs. on their own
Must be able to manage the delivery of packages up to 150lbs. with the assistance of a dolly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Weekend work required
- Able to deliver at least 100 stops per day
