Delivery Driver

Come join one of the fastest-growing independently owned distributors in Northern California! We are looking for a full-time Delivery Driver to join our team and support our Hayward, CA branch.

The primary responsibilities of this role are deliveries; however, this position will also serve as a backup to the Dispatcher on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for performing the following duties:

• Ensure appropriate merchandise is properly packaged for shipment
• Safely and accurately unload items at each delivery stop
• Verify merchandise matches shipping documents at each stop
• Maintain the safety and general upkeep of the delivery vehicle
• Provide excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a team
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Backup Dispatch Duties (As Needed):

In the absence of the Dispatcher, you may be asked to:

• Open the branch at the start of the shift (4:00 AM)
• Ensure all trucks are dispatched on time
• Use Innovo system to manage orders and delivery schedules
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and the sales team to support morning logistics

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work a 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM shift; overtime may be required
• Minimum 2+ years of delivery driving experience required
• Must be able to drive a 24’ or 26’ truck
• Valid CA driver’s license with a clean MVR
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs. or more
• Familiarity with warehouse and delivery operations
• Strong computer skills: Innova experience is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
