Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring that food and services are delivered to guests in a manner that reflects the purpose and quality requirements of Chick-fil-A, Inc., as well as the mission, vision and values of Chick-fil-A Calallen. The Delivery Driver must be able to execute Chick-fil-A hospitality with our guests in a respectful and caring manner while ensuring safe driving standards are met. The Delivery Driver is accountable for achieving high performance in the following areas: Overall Guest Satisfaction, On-time Deliveries and Order Accuracy. Clear and excellent communication skills via our Chick-fil-A Delivery app are paramount to help us continue to meet our guest's expectations outside of the Restaurant.

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

• Delivers food to guests in a friendly manner while adhering to food safety and hygiene guidelines, as well as safe driving standards
• Represents Chick-fil-A as a brand ambassador by embracing and demonstrating our values and our culture at the highest level at all times
• Engages and connects with guests by executing Winning Hearts Everyday principles, including Core Four Behaviors and 2nd Mile Service
• Executes safe driving best practices when operating delivery vehicles and observes traffic rules and regulations
• Ensures customer satisfaction by protecting and upholding our brand at all times when attending to customer concerns as they arise on a delivery
• Maintains Operational Excellence in vehicles and delivery assembly area (cleanliness, speed and accuracy, taste of food, and attentive & courteous) at all times
• During downtime, restocks the delivery, front counter and drive-thru workspaces, dining room condiment stations, and restrooms as needed
• Adheres to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
• Follows the leadership direction provided by the Delivery Team Leader(s) and/or Beyond the Restaurant Director
• Answers guest questions and obtains the assistance of Leadership, as needed
• Communicates any guest concerns or special requests to the Delivery Team Leader and/or Beyond the Restaurant Director
• Resolves guest concerns in a manner that maintains the honor, dignity and respect of the guest
• Stewards resources effectively to ensure that performance metrics such as target food and labor costs are met
• Assists fellow Team Members when finished with assigned duties to ensure guests receive a caring experience
• Ensures the safety of guests and teammates by evaluating the environment for hazardous elements and addressing issues in a timely manner
• Ensures assigned duties are completed by end of shift and ensures restaurant needs are communicated to the next shift
• Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Loves serving and helping others
• Customer service oriented
• Detail-oriented
• Must have a working smartphone with a data plan and GPS
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license
• Works well independently and in a team environment
• Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to pass an in-house driving test with Delivery Leader
• Ability to carry delivery tote bags (approximately 3 - 10 lbs)
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks with few breaks

Working Conditions:

• Works in a fast-paced environment
• Operates company vehicles and at times personal vehicle
• Regularly engages with guests
• Shifts may include morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as well as working outdoors
