Job description
Ironmill Hardware & Fasteners is looking for an exceptional Delivery Driver / Material Handler who will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes; reviewing orders prior to delivery. In addition, assisting in warehouse upkeep-including deliveries of tools and equipment needed for personnel, assist in warehouse inventory, loading and unloading trucks
Responsibilities
Primary:
- Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications
- Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
- Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes via Van, Flatbed or Box Truck
- Unload goods as per client specifications
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
- Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
- Responsible for proper issue of material and assisting in warehouse cleanliness
- Keep a thorough record management of all tools and materials that are removed or returned to warehouse
- Assists in bi-monthly inventory reviews as needed
- Participates in operation meetings as needed
- Additional tasks as needed.
Skills
- Knowledge of construction jobsite delivery processes preferred
- Clean Driving Record
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
- Ability to remain objective, professional, and effective under pressure
- Basic math skills
- Proficient written and oral communication
- CDL License is a plus
Education & Experience:
- 2+ years of delivery driving
- 2+ years logistics and transportation service experience
Salary: From $20.00+ per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
