Delivery/Fufillment Driver

About the role

Position Summary: The Delivery Driver will play a role in our operations by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of materials and products to our customers' job sites. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. They will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading construction materials, as well as maintaining accurate delivery records and providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibility Areas: 

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport construction materials to vendors, warehouses, and customer job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and ensuring proper handling and securement of the cargo.
• Verify and confirm delivery orders with vendors, customers, and obtain signatures on delivery receipts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, logs, and documentation, including mileage, fuel purchases, and delivery times.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory, preparing orders for delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and vendors to coordinate delivery schedules, resolve issues, and provide updates on delivery status.

Qualifications: degrees, certifications, experience, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive a flatbed truck with a 25-foot trailer
• Must be forklift certified
• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the construction or building materials industry
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards related to commercial driving
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet demands and delivery schedules
  
  

Working Environment: list location (office, onsite, etc) as well as any physical requirements of the position

• Hours expected: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm, eligible for overtime
• Prolonged time sitting in a vehicle to make deliveries
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and operate material handling equipment safely.
