The Opportunity:
In this role, you will lead and evolve an already high-performing demand planning team as part of the larger supply chain and information technology business area.
You will own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the demand forecast. You will translate commercial inputs (sales, pipeline, portfolio changes) into a credible, explainable, and decision-ready unconstrained demand forecast. This forecast feeds S&OP, supply planning, and financial forecasting.
You will be accountable for forecast quality, transparency of assumptions and disciplined governance. You will have high visibility across the organization as this role also works closely with the sales leadership team, marketing, and operations to forecast demand and lead the monthly S&OP Step 2 Demand Forecast meeting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. • Lead and mentor a team of demand planners
• Manage the monthly demand forecast at the SKU/Location/Customer level
• Evaluate and improve statistical model parameters and maintain model attributes
• Maintain data related to product replacement, customer churn, and promotions
• Track and analyze forecast accuracy and bias (FVA, WMAPE)
• Partner with IT on automation and enhancements
• Manage marketing/sales forecast overrides
• Monitor incoming orders for demand outliers
• Drive cross functional communications regarding key projects.
• Coordinate and manage monthly S&OP Step 2 meeting.
• Responsible for providing data intensive analyses as needed for all Moove branches.
• Independently drive business process improvement projects.
• Upload outputs of the S&OP process into the ERP per the published schedule.
• Challenge inputs constructively.
• Build trust with internal and external stakeholders
COMPETENCY:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
• Demand management fundamentals including but not limited to, statistical forecasting techniques and algorithms, forecast consumption logic, multi-level forecasting & forecast-error computation methods. Ability to marry the statistical forecast with the sales forecast to drive the consensus forecast.
• Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) knowledge with the ability to drive part or all of the process, including the pre-demand and pre-supply reviews through the executive review.
• Computer/IT – Database organization, retrieval and analysis techniques, including ERP, demand planning software and MS Excel. SQL and Power BI knowledge a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent from a 4-year College and 5-8 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other report writing and project planning software. Experience working with demand planning software is preferred. SQL Skills a plus.
