Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Provides chair side assistance to dentists in the performance of dental procedures to include preventive and prosthetic procedures.
B. Prepares, sterilizes, organizes, and sets up dental equipment.
C. Ensures that all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established clinic guidelines and OSHA standards.
D. Maintains the overall cleanliness of the dental area.
E. Monitors, and maintains dental equipment and sterilizers in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
F. Orders and maintains inventories of dental clinic supplies.
G. Creates and maintains dental records in accordance with established protocol and procedures.
H. Maintains overall cleanliness of the dental area.
I. Maintains pleasant working attitude.
J. Maintains confidentiality.
K. Submits professional license and other credentialing information copies to PCM.
L. Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated.
This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on-the-job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

Requirements
1. Graduate of an accredited dental assistant program with a current license to practice valid in the state where the facility is located if required.
2. One year of experience as a dental assistant preferred.
3. Current CPR certification.
4. Clerical experience; ability to type.
5. Effective communication skills and telephone manners.
6. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
7. Working knowledge of office equipment and dental equipment.
8. Working knowledge of dental terminology.
