Portage Northern Dental opened it's doors 30 years ago in the Portage Northern area of town. This has given our office the privilege of being a part of the wonderful community surrounding our office. Key Responsibilities 

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable 

• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment 

• Take dental radiographs (x-rays) 

• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment 

• Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures 

• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health 

• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify 

• X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements  

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, leaning, and bending. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
