Dental Assistant

 An excellent opportunity exists to work for a government contractor with competitive compensation and work-life balance. Posterity Group is seeking experienced Dental Assistant at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA. 

Duties to include but not limited to: 

• The dental assistant shall provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures to include restorative, prosthodontic and surgical procedures. 
• The dental assistant shall prepare the treatment rooms and instruments for patient care ensuring appropriateness as to procedure being delivered. 
• The dental assistant shall retract tissue, suction, and pass instruments during procedures. 
• The dental assistant will be proficient in taking digital radiographs. 
• The dental assistant shall follow all infection control standards and protocols in compliance with the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center guidelines. 
• The dental assistant shall comply with the VA regulations for safety and privacy. 
• The dental assistant shall be available to work Tuesday through Friday 08:00am-04:30pm and some Saturdays 08:00am-12:00pm. 
• The dental assistant must meet the needs of the customer while supporting the medical center and service missions. The dental assistant must treat the customers to include the patients, visitors, volunteers and all medical center staff in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.  
•  The dental assistant will work under the general supervision of the dental chief or designee.  

• There is no mandatory license for dental assistants; DANB certification is acceptable but not required. 
• Dental assistant shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently. 
• Dental assistant shall be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent
