The Dental Assistant supports clinical and administrative operations by delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining treatment room readiness, and upholding all office standards, policies, and procedures. Professionalism, attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork are required at all times. This role requires strong chairside skills and a commitment to maintaining a calm, welcoming environment for patients.

Cell phone use permitted only during breaks or emergencies
No food or drink in clinical areas
No gum chewing during work hours
Punctuality and preparedness required for all shifts and meetings
Respectful conduct toward patients and staff required at all times
Participation in assigned cleaning duties required
Patient Care & Chairside Duties
Greet and escort patients; manage patient flow and wait times
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures
Review and update patient health histories
Take radiographs, impressions, and intraoral scans
Assist the dentist by anticipating needs during procedures
Ensure patient comfort and address concerns
Provide post-treatment instructions
Document procedures, materials, lab cases, and follow-up care
Ensure charts are complete at the end of each appointment
Treatment Rooms, Sterilization & Equipment
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized treatment rooms
Follow OSHA sterilization and infection control protocols
Sterilize instruments and equipment immediately after use
Store sterilized items properly
Organize trays, drawers, and equipment
Track and manage dental laboratory cases
Follow preventative maintenance schedules
Records, Inventory & Office Support
Maintain secure, HIPAA-compliant patient records
Prepare charts and materials for upcoming appointments
Manage patient recall and follow-up systems
Monitor inventory levels and ensure rooms remain stocked
Assist with supply ordering per office protocols
Support front desk and administrative needs as required
Team Participation, Flexibility & Growth
Participate in team meetings and office operations
Support cross-training, collaboration, and mentoring
Remain flexible to changing responsibilities and office needs
Assist other departments as needed
Pursue professional development and participate in performance reviews
Experience
3–5 years of dental assisting experience required
Bachelor’s degree not required
