Valparaiso Family Dentistry is a respected dental practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for a dedicated, highly organized Dental Assistant to join our team and help us continue delivering excellent dental services.

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as a dental assistant
• X-ray certification required
• Experience with dental implants preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software systems is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
• Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostic results
• Provide chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort and anticipating the dentist's needs
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Keep the treatment environment clean and organized, restocking supplies as necessary
