Job Description - Dental Assistant / Front Office

Looking for a Fulfilling Dental Career in a Supportive, High-Performing Team?

Hanson Endodontics – Panama City is searching for a skilled and compassionate Cross-Trained Dental Assistant/Front Office Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.

If you're passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair—and love the idea of a dynamic role where no two days are exactly the same—we'd love to connect with you!

Why Join Hanson Endodontics – Panama City?

At Hanson Endodontics, you’ll work side-by-side with a talented team of specialists, dental assistants, patient care coordinators, and administrative professionals—all driven by the same mission: to deliver an exceptional specialty experience for every patient.

As a cross-trained team member, you’ll play a key role both clinically and administratively. Whether you’re assisting chairside during treatment or helping patients schedule their next appointment, your contributions will directly shape their experience—and their smile.

We value teamwork, respect, and continued growth, and we’re proud to offer a welcoming, inclusive environment where you can thrive personally and professionally.

Your Role: Cross-Trained Dental Assistant/Front Office Assistant

In this hybrid role, you'll help support both the clinical and front office operations of our endodontic practice. From ensuring patients feel at ease to keeping treatment rooms ready and schedules running smoothly, you’ll be an essential part of our daily success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming patients and preparing them for treatment

  • Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

  • Setting up and sterilizing instruments and treatment rooms

  • Monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed

  • Providing post-operative care instructions

  • Maintaining accurate patient records

  • Scheduling appointments and post-op visits

  • Helping with payment procedures and general office coordination

What We’re Looking For

You’re an adaptable, kind, and motivated team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional care. You love working directly with patients just as much as you enjoy helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.

Here’s what helps you shine in this role:

  • 1–2+ years of experience as a dental assistant (endodontic experience required)

  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols

  • Understanding of dental health & safety regulations

  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency

  • Radiology license and/or Dental Assistant certification (as required by state law)

  • Organized, dependable, and patient-focused

  • A positive attitude and collaborative spirit
