Dental Hygienist

We are looking for a Hygienist to join our growing team.

New graduates are welcome to apply! The office is fast-paced with a patient-oriented team. The hygienist will have their own assistant. Applicants must be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail, have compassion and empathy, display a friendly energetic attitude, and work as a team player.

Dental Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gathering patient information and health background
• Taking x-rays when necessary
• Preparing the work area for procedures
• Performing a variety of hygiene procedures including, but not limited to prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride varnish, placement of localized antimicrobial agents, delivery of local anesthesia etc.
• Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits
• Updating patient charts
• Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment

Requirements

Dental Hygienist Requirements and Qualifications

• MA Registered Dental Hygiene License (required)
• MA local anesthesia license (required)
• CPR certification (required)
• Understanding of hygiene procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) preferred, not required
