The Dental Office Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the dental team by assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the field of dentistry and who possess a strong willingness to learn and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Core Responsibilities

1. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
2. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
3. Greet patients warmly and assist with seating and comfort while ensuring a smooth flow of appointments.
4. Escort patients from treatment areas to the front desk and provide them with the necessary instructions.
5. Keep all operatories clean and properly stocked at all times.
6. Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and disposal of hazardous materials.
7. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all clinical and non-clinical areas according to established guidelines and regulations.
8. Participate in regular training sessions on infection control practices and safety procedures.
9. Assists with weekly inventory of supplies.
10. If necessary, assist the front desk staff with various administrative tasks.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM OBJECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or GED
2. Basic life support certification
3. Six months of experience using Microsoft Office software

PREFERRED OBJECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

1. Dental assistant training or experience
2. Fluency in written and spoken English and spoken Spanish
