Essential Functions:  

• Answer, screen and forward calls providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments.
  


• Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.
  


• Scan documents such as referrals, new patient paperwork, and record releases into patient’s chart


• Collect mail, messages and courier deliveries.
  


• Check in patients and maintain a sign in sheet 


• Enter patient’s personal information into computer


• Determine which patients need a medical history update (once a year) 


• Indicate a patient is ready to be seated by changing the status on the appointment


• Confirm next day and 3-day out appointments


• Print route slips for the next day’s appointments 


• Report changes in the schedule and walk ins to staff as necessary
  


• Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
  


• Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.


• Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments.


• Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma.
  

• One Year Office experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Sitting 80%


• Standing/walking 20%


• Medical, office, and lab setting.


• Hearing – Must be able to hear telephonic equipment and comfortably communicate with Patients and others by telephone and in person.


• Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for business software, and operating office machines.
