Under the general direction of the Administrator II, Department Resource Oversight, Department Allotments and Analysis Unit, the incumbent performs complex assignments in support of Franchise Tax Board (FTB) operating expense and equipment (OE&E) budgets for all operational and programmatic functions and will assist in detailing and managing the Department’s spending plan. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring assigned allotments, at an enterprise wide level by working with all levels of management throughout the Department to ensure program business needs are incorporated into the Department’s spending plan. This includes baseline analysis, spending projections and ensuring funding is available for Departmental expenditures. The incumbent must possess skills to develop various types of financial documents using MicrosoftExcel software, be highly analytical, and must be able to solve difficult technical resource problems. Additionally, the incumbent must establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; speak and write effectively; perform multiple complex assignments simultaneously while managing various scopes, expectations, and deliverables.

Position may be extended to up to 24 months or become permanent.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.
