This role is located at Edwards AFB, CA.\n\nAccomplish\n\nYour duties include:\n\n * Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.\n\n * Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.\n\n * May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.\n\n * Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.\n\n * Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.\n\n * May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.\n\n * May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.\n\n\n\n\n# Succeed \n\nThe individual we seek will be self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented to help us grow our services, become even better at what we do and will possess the following qualifications.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s of Science degree and 5 years of relevant Network Communications experience OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; or Master\u0027s of Science Degree and 3 years relevant Network Communications experience.\n\n * Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.\n\n * Must be able to meet medical requirements and pass a physical for worldwide travel.\n\n * Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.\n\n * Must have the ability to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 90 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.\n\n * Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.\n\n * Must have or be able to obtain a Security Plus (Sec+) Certification within 6 months of hire.\n\n * Must have the ability to complete training and receive initial qualification within 180 days and complete full qualification within 365 days as set out by department training team as a condition of maintaining employment\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with one or more of the following:\n\n * Requirements Capture.\n\n * Test and Implementation.\n\n * Integrated Maintenance Data System.\n\n * Unix/Solaris Operating Systems and Principles.\n\n * Windows Server and Desktop versions.\n\n * Wide Area (WAN) and Local Area (LAN) networking.\n\n * Group policy design, testing and implementation.\n\n * Radio Frequency Transmission Systems.\n\n * Satellite Communications Systems.\n\n * Oracle RAC.\n\n * Virtualization.\n\n\n\n\n#MPR\n\n#Netcoms\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
