Summary: Plan and coordinate IaaS/PaaS deployments, engage with infrastructure, CI/CD, and engineering teams, manage offshore activities, and transition status to onshore counterparts.
Planning & Scheduling
- Create and maintain deployment schedules for IaaS and PaaS components in collaboration with project teams
- Align deployment activities with release calendars, infrastructure readiness, and change windows
- Ensure pre-deployment checks and dependencies are reviewed and resolved before scheduled slots
Coordination & Execution
- Work closely with infrastructure teams, CI/CD engineers, and application deployment leads to drive task execution
- Track progress of deployment steps and ensure tasks are completed on time
- Confirm all pre-approved scripts and configuration templates are in place and tested
Communication & Escalation
- Set up and lead daily war rooms or bridge calls with all involved teams during critical deployments
- Act as a central point of contact for issue triage, logging, and resolution tracking
- Escalate blockers or risks early to engineering leads, architects, or onshore managers as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Issue Reporting & Documentation
- Document deployment outcomes, including failures, rollbacks, and resolutions
- Track and report real-time status updates to internal stakeholders and project teams
- Maintain checklists, logs, and post-deployment feedback in a structured format
Shift Handoff & Transition
- Provide comprehensive handover notes to the onshore deployment manager at end of the shift
- Summarize completed tasks, pending items, open issues, and next action owners
- Ensure continuity in communication and technical coverage across time zones
Tooling & Platform Awareness
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins), infrastructure provisioning (Terraform, ARM Templates), and deployment scripts
- Basic understanding of Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage) and PaaS services (App Services, Functions, Key Vaults, etc.)
- Experience using collaboration tools (Teams, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow)
