Deployment Specialist

OVERVIEW

 The Deployment Specialist oversees the configuration of back-end systems to prepare our merchants for credit card & ACH processing. Once a new merchant is boarded, the deployment team will orchestrate multiple workflows like case management, configuring payment gateways, generating API keys, configuring credit card terminals, generating VAR sheets, and coordinating with other departments like installs, sales, and technical support to ensure functionality for a wide variety of credit card-based systems. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 The primary focus of this role is to set up and configure back-end credit card & ACH processing systems. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

• Configuring a wide range of back-end systems and physical hardware, while ensuring minimal data entry errors. 
• Overseeing the packaging, shipping, and receiving of equipment. Utilizing our vendor relationships to ship equipment to our merchants and partners. 
• Creating technical documentation for our wide variety of terminal configurations and integrated systems. 
• Configuring and supporting front-end hardware and software like credit card terminals and point of sale systems. 
• Handling additional duties and responsibilities as they emerge. 

A Deployment Specialist is responsible for performing the daily workflow of the Deployment Team. Their duties will include working through the various internal and processor systems, programming payment and point of sale devices, boxing and shipping payment processing equipment, and equipment inventory management.

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail 
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members across various departments. 
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills. 
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Technical background is a plus, but not required.
