The Deposit Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing detailed verification and quality control reviews of deposit-related transactions and documentation, sending corrections requests, and ensuring accurate indexing of documents into the bank's document storage system. This role also supports additional verification tasks, assists with regulatory compliance audits, and contributes to the overall efficiency of Deposit Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Verification and Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of deposit account documentation, including new account setup, account maintenance, and account closures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Review wire transfers for accuracy in amounts, beneficiary details, and proper authorization.
· Deposit Account Documentation Review: Review and verify documentation for new deposit accounts, account maintenance, and account closures. Index account documents accurately into the document storage system. Send correction requests to frontline staff for incomplete or inaccurate documentation. Cross-check documents against system entries for consistency.
· Wire Transfer Verification: Perform daily verification of incoming and outgoing wire transfers to ensure information is accurate and compliant with policies. Identify and escalate discrepancies as necessary.
· GL Balancing
· CD and IRA Document Verification: Review CD and IRA documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance before indexing.
· Audit Preparation and Support: Assist with organizing documentation for internal and external audits.
· Reg E Dispute Documentation Verification: Review Reg E dispute forms for completeness and accuracy before processing.
· Assist with indexing completed disputes and other account related documents.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. - Proficiency in Jack Henry’s SilverLake platform is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Standard office environment in a quiet setting with separate workspaces and minimal daily interruptions.
