Deputy Program Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Deputy Program Manager will lead day-to-day program execution and coordinate operational activities, personnel, logistics, infrastructure readiness, and contract deliverables. This position will work closely with Government representatives, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure program requirements are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

The Deputy Program Manager will also provide continuity of program leadership and assume designated Program Manager responsibilities when required.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Lead day-to-day program and operational activities in coordination with the Program Manager.
• Coordinate site operations, scheduling, access, logistics, safety, and other operational requirements.
• Track infrastructure and operational readiness activities against established program milestones.
• Coordinate personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and other resources necessary for successful program execution.
• Plan and support training, testing, evaluation, and other authorized program activities.
• Coordinate participant logistics, safety requirements, operational support, and post-activity requirements.
• Manage the preparation and internal review of program reports, After Action Reports, and other contractual deliverables.
• Maintain program records, utilization information, schedules, risks, action items, and supporting documentation.
• Track required personnel qualifications, training, credentials, and access requirements.
• Coordinate with security personnel to support applicable personnel, facility, information, and property security requirements.
• Support Government inspections, assessments, and other program compliance activities.
• Assist the Program Manager with subcontractor oversight, status reporting, briefing materials, travel coordination, and other program-control activities.
• Conduct operational quality reviews and support corrective actions in accordance with program quality requirements.
• Perform designated Program Manager responsibilities in the Program Manager's absence.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon the Government awarding the applicable contract to Summit Point and the candidate meeting all contractual, security, and employment requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a combination of professional office, operational, and field environments. Work may be performed at company, Government, partner, or other designated program locations. The position may involve access to secure or controlled environments and requires compliance with applicable safety and security requirements.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Regular travel to designated program locations is required, with occasional travel to additional locations as program needs dictate.
• Work schedules may vary based on program requirements, operational activities, meetings, and travel.
• May require extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and working at a computer.
• Must be able to access and move throughout operational and field environments, which may include uneven terrain and exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Must maintain all required security clearances, credentials, and access requirements for the duration of employment.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Required

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense training, range, test, operational, or similar programs, including at least 2 years in a program or operations management role.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience coordinating complex training, testing, or operational activities involving multiple participants and stakeholders.
• Experience with operational planning, logistics, safety, scheduling, and personnel coordination.
• Experience preparing formal Government reports, deliverables, or After Action Reports.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and Government customer-interface skills.

Preferred

• PMP, CAPM, DAWIA/DAU, or similar program management certification.
• Experience supporting DoD range, training, test, or operational environments.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies or advanced training and test capabilities.
• Experience supporting secure or controlled Government operations and associated compliance requirements.
• Prior military or Government civilian experience in training, operations, program management, or test and evaluation.
