Pay Range: $20-$21.36/hr.

We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Deputy Weighmaster to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 4201 Florin Perkins Rd. in Sacramento and limited job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary:

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Deputy Weighmaster to provide support to one or more facilities. This role calls for a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a team of individuals who work well together. The position comes with a high learning curve and the key functions, skills and qualifications are imperative to the success of the role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with service information, provide accurate costs and accept payment for inbound and outbound transactions.
• Ability to learn material classification and review loads.
• Work well in a team setting and work well with others including team members, supervisors, managers, and customers.
• Attention to detail is critical for data entry.
• Manage traffic control and provide site direction to offload the material.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills, printing, and data entry
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and great attendance
• Punctuality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Customer service skills
• Ability to climb up and down a staircase to review loads, reach above shoulders, prolonged sitting or standing.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

Language Skill:

• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish

Physical Demands:

• Make sure to list the physical demands, such as push, pull, standing
• Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
• Constant bending and twisting
• Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
• Constant climbing in and out of equipment to grab carts
