Job Description - Dermatology Medical Assistant

RSB Dermatology in Deerfield Beach, FL is looking for an experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a hard-worker, motivated, self-starter, punctual, and focused. This is a full time position with benefits. Wages based on experience.

Qualifications:

6 months Dermatology experience REQUIRED.

At least 1 year of back office experience REQUIRED (any specialty).

3 months of EMA/Mod Med EHR experience (this is a name of a electronic health record system) recommended, but not required. If you have experience, please note it.

Competent in sterile technique. Surgical experience preferred, but not required.

Knowledge of BCC, SCC, AK, melanoma, tines, xerosis and ability to discuss with patients.

Knowledge of cosmetic procedures/product sales a plus.

Duties:

Set up and sanitize exam rooms, clean instruments.

Numb patients using local anesthesia.

Assist in medical and surgical procedures (MOHS procedures, Excisions, cosmetic).

Call back patients with results.

Chart in EMA: pad and desktop.
