Essential Functions
The position mainly consists of various degrees of medical transcription to create reports, which involves knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes, and knowledge of billing practices and the ability to differentiate clinical malignancies.
Accurate secretarial skills, and ability to work with basic computer software (Microsoft Word, etc) will be very important
Additionally, daily activity will include receiving, handling, and preparing glass slide and paper medical requisition forms to produce and distribute pathology reports, which will require accurate secretarial skills.
Maintains confidentiality of clinic materials.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma, and medical transcription experience.
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience in an administrative role, and dermatology experience is also preferred.
