Job Description - Design Characterization Engineer

This means conducting business with integrity, accountability, and professionalism while supporting our global community.\n\nAs a 3D NAND Design Characterization Engineer, you will help shape Micron\u2019s future product portfolio by collaborating with Worldwide Design and Product engineering teams on forward looking design features, innovations, and circuit development activities. You will build close business relationships with dedicated engineers across Micron to determine design implications on manufacturability, test product features and debug early silicon, and verify design features. This position is being offered in San Jose, California\n\nResponsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:\n\n * Pre-silicon design simulations, and post silicon validation for the product.\n\n * Perform simulation to silicon matching activities by running simulation and micro-probing critical circuits to gather waveforms to compare back to simulations and analyze the results for improvement of the design.\n\n * Work closely with the Design Teams on forward looking design features, innovations and circuit development activities.\n\n * The Design characterization engineer will be responsible for performing product characterization and debugging (using Bench test equipment, microprobe, ATE, etc.)\n\n * Determine design implications on manufacturability, test product features and debug early silicon and verify design features.\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n * BSEE / MSEE with 2-5 years of Design / Test and product engineering experience\n\n * Design / Product engineering background including circuit design, product characterization and debugging on Memory\n\n * Solid understanding in the following areas: Circuit / logic design, Semiconductor device physics\n\n * Solid understanding of the following area:\n\n * Bench test equipment (O-Scope, Logic Analyzers).\n\n * Experience with Teradyne Magnum Test program, Python, Statistics.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills\n\n * Experience with test program development on Teradyne/ Nextest platform\n\n * Standout colleague - Be able to share knowledge and support other groups\n\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Design Engineer 2 - Semiconductor Design Engineer 3\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
