About the Team

You will be part of the Decorative Accessories Product Development Team. You will support the Designers who design hard goods for Pottery Barn Kids. The team’s job is to deliver innovative designs, communicate with overseas vendors and, execute on time approvals to keep remain competitive with the home décor market.

About the Role

The Design Coordinator supports the team with sample management, presentation materials, vendor communication, general organization and task management.

· Facilitate the production of design concepts as directed by Designers

· Track department samples and designs

· Maintain presentation boards

· Maintain Sourcing Spreadsheet

· Prepare department for weekly meetings

· Manage all new and past season product samples

· Resolve sample issues and work closely with agents and vendors

· Be involved in product development cycle and calendar

· Maintain status reports on all product development projects

· Send samples for personalization testing

· Update and maintain seasonal product information

· Keep sample room organized

· Shipping of specs and reference samples

· Bachelors or Design degree (or experience in related field)

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize and schedule work in a deadline driven environment

· Strong communication skills

 

Technical Competencies required: 

· Proficiency in MAC and PC

· Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel

· Familiarization with PLM or similar software

· Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to type on a keyboard and operate a PC

· Ability to converse over a telephone

· Ability to transport materials or equipment or lifting, moving, carrying objects up to 70 pounds on a limited basis

· Ability to work in office and perform in corporate environment

The expected starting pay range for this position is $25-$29/hr. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
