The company is seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to develop hands-on product design experience within a globally recognized industrial manufacturer. You'll contribute to the design, development, and improvement of spray nozzles, headers, lances, and related fabricated components while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and development of spray nozzles, manifolds, headers, lances, and custom fabricated assemblies using 3D CAD software
Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, models, and bills of materials in accordance with design standards and tolerances
Support the development of new products from concept through production, including design reviews, prototyping, and testing
Perform engineering calculations related to fluid flow, spray performance, pressure drop, and material selection
Collaborate with manufacturing, applications engineering, and sales teams to translate customer requirements into viable product designs
Assist with design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews to ensure efficient and cost-effective production
Support testing and validation activities to verify product performance against specifications
Maintain accurate documentation including design files, test reports, and project records
Research materials, components, and manufacturing processes to support design decisions
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing product lines
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
0–2 years of engineering experience (internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or product design environment a plus)
Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent
Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerancing, and GD&T
Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and documentation practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
Preferred:
Exposure to fluid mechanics, hydraulics, or spray technology
Experience with CAM software or manufacturing processes such as CNC machining or injection molding
Familiarity with FEA or fluid simulation tools
Experience working in a product development or manufacturing environment
