Design Structural Engineer - Hiring Immediately

The Structural Design Engineer is tasked with collaborating with the EOR (Engineer of Record) and City/EOR inspectors to review design drawings, conduct site surveys, and observe construction in the field to ensure compliance with structural, IBC code, and life safety standards. They will closely cooperate with the EOR to submit permit drawings to the city and provide construction observation certificates, guaranteeing that both design and construction align with city regulations and client needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• The candidate should possess knowledge of prevailing international industrial and construction standards, local regulations, and life safety criteria to deliver robust system designs consistent with historically successful business practices.
• Regular visits to construction sites will be necessary for the candidate to coordinate with Engineers of Record (EORs), subcontractors, Quality Control personnel, and designers to ensure that constructed elements meet Code of Practice (CoP) requirements.
• They will define, plan, and execute project design and permit application strategies to fulfill clients' strategic objectives, goals, and milestones for system design review and observation certificates.
• The candidate will spearhead improvements in quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, process stability, capability, productivity, and operational safety.
• Utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools, they will develop and implement solutions to various challenges.
• They will establish process control systems for the process module and sustain it through continuous technology development efforts.
• Employing structured problem-solving techniques, they will devise strategies to address complex problems and establish systems for capturing lessons learned and best practices to handle similar challenges in the future.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering
• 3 years if experience in an advanced semiconductor manufacturing environment with emphasis on facility design, operations, construction and maintenance.
