Job Description - Design Technology Specialists Manager

Description

Develop advanced design technologies and automation tools into our architectural workflows.
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for integrating advanced design technologies and automation tools into our architectural workflows.
Oversee the development of custom scripts, plugins, and applications to streamline design processes and enhance productivity.
Manage third party software developers in the development of custom automation software solutions.
Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for improving efficiency through automation and custom software solutions.
Manage the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new design software and technologies.
Coordinate with IT department to ensure seamless integration of design technologies with existing systems.
Manage the development of documentation for design technology standards, best practices, and workflows. Lead firm wide training and support to staff on new technologies and automation tools.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in architectural design and automation.
Collaborate with the Director of Innovation to align technology initiatives with overall business strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an Architectural firm, including 4 years of experience in architectural design technology, with a focus on automation and software development.
